Mentor Program

4 Hours. 1 Year. Lifetime Difference.

We aim to create quality mentor relationships between the youth and adults in our community. We activate a movement across the board that provides opportunities and growth, in a diverse and broad way that leaks into the day-to-day lives of our young people.

Start Mentor Application

To begin your mentoring experience through the GRCCT’s Mentoring Program, click on the button below to begin the Mentoring Program process. Due to the amount of background checks, training, and interviews, please know the process can take up to a few weeks.

Mentor Eligibility

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Complete Mentor Application
  • Participate in Mentor Interview
  • Be finger printed (paid for by GRCCT)
  • Be apply to give at least 2 references
  • Complete 4 hour online Mentor Training
  • Be a positive role model
  • Pass all of the background checks
  • Participate in Mentor Match Meeting
  • Submit monthly Mentor Updates

What to Expect

Application: Submit our online application. Once submitted, our Mentor Coordinator will reach out to schedule the Mentor Interview.

Interview: Our Mentor Coordinator wants to learn more about you, your likes and interests, the objective is to see if our program is the right fit for you.

Background Check: After your interview, we will run an extensive background check, that will include reaching out to your references listed on application, as well as getting finger printed.

Training: Once your background checks come back cleared, you will be given an online training that must be completed before being matched with a youth.
